A Bit of Our Story

In the late 1980’s Clyde and Kerry Downey purchased 150 acres (the old industrial lands) from Phil Dobson and Tom Burke with a vision to help the town of Riverview expand its residential and commercial growth as a community. Originally the incorporated company was known to the public as PatMar Holdings Inc., until it was rebranded in 2022 as Legacy Hill Developments.

1989-1993

Between 1989-1993 the construction of Pinewood and the Cleveland Rd. extension took place.

2002

In 2002 a half-acre of land was sold, and a dental practice was built.

2003

In 2003 we built the Great Canadian Dollar Store, which we later sold in 2005.

2005-2018

Between 2005-2018 we sold land for the development of Home Hardware; built a Vet building by the Needs store and Tim Horton’s; sold property to Jamie Shea for the construction of an apartment complex and to Jerry Patterson for the construction of a storage facility. During the same period, we sold land and facilitated multiple retail opportunities in the same area.

Most recently (2022) we sold a piece of land for the construction of Riverview’s newest Kent Homes Building Supplies store. In 2020 we constructed and managed our first 38 unit apartment building, known as Quinn Court. In 2023 we will break ground for a second multi-residential apartment with a third building to follow.

In 2020 Kerry’s daughter (Katie Downey) became a shareholder in Quinn Court Apartments as a partner with her father.
